The Red Panda At The Zoo

I remember, during our visit to the zoo this year (2009), we were able to see very few Red Panda there, and it was quite a challenge what we had to go through inorder to finally see them!

We like bamboos, so we ended up hanging out in an area at the zoo which had plenty of bamboo landscaping. While we were in the bamboo area, we had the opportunity to be close to where the Red Panda where situated. But being able to see the Red Panda, it was not as easy as we thought its gonna be, we had to literally find where they were hiding or where their resting place is, and when we finally saw two of them, they were sleeping, like 99 percent of the time!

We waited and waited for them to wake up, we even try to shake some of the bamboo trees trying to catch their attention, but they were hardcore tired, I should say.

It took us several tries, and transfered from different spots and angles, to finally get one to wake up and capture one awake! Here it is:

I got lucky because when I clicked the camera, the cute little roundy face Red Panda was looking back at me, sweet!

Arguing Flamingoes

We went to the zoo few weeks ago, and encountered some of the most exotic wild species in this world. During our visit there, we got the chance t0 see flamingoes again, we saw one during our trip to a Florida park too. It was a nice relaxing day at the zoo with great sunny weather and some of the animals are in their food mood like when we were observing the flamingoes. There were quite a few flamingoes in a little section of the zoo, when all of the sudden we heared flamingoes started arguing with each other, atleast thats what it looked like to me, see the photo above. Looks like they are fighting who get the shrimps or something!

By the way, according to facts about flamingoes, they turn orange in color because of all the orange shrimps that they ate over time!

Digital Photo Frames

One of my passion is photography, that is why I always like to carry my camera with me wherever I go so I can take pictures whenever I want. I love to take photos of our vacations as well as everyday scenes and things that I encounter. There are several photos that I took that I would really want to display in our home specially photos of our trips and vacations, but there is not a lot of wall space or side table space to display my photographies in a photo frame one by one without everything looking so cluttered and taking too much space. That is why I think that the invention and existence of digital frames is such a great idea!

A digital picture frame allows you to display your digital photos like a slide show, where each picture will be displayed alternately one after the other. Digital frame is perfect to display multiple pictures in a more dynamic and interactive way. Nowadays, digital frames come in various different sizes, around 7 to 15 inches. There are other style of digital frames that allows you to change face, which is great if you want to customize the color scheme of your frame every now and then. Just like traditional picture frames, digital photo frame is designed to display your photographies but the main difference is that you dont have to have the photos printed anymore, all you need is your digital photos files stored in a USB flash drives that can be mounted directly to the digital frame unit and each of the photo will be displayed in a LCD monitor of the frame. When choosing a digital frame to purchase, you have several different options when it comes to colors and styles of frames, photo resolutions, contrast and more. Depending on the price you are willing to pay, there are some digital frame units that have additional state-of-the-art functionalities like remote control, built-in speaker, video playback and more.

Camera Girl

I love taking pictures, I always like to bring a camera with me wherever I go, just so I can take pictures of places that we visit and whatever stuff that you just have to capture! I really dont have any formal training when it comes to photography, so I am just taking pictures my own way most of the time.

Since I was a kid up to few years ago, I been using the traditional camera, the one that uses the 35mm film! Although it is a great camera, I didnt like the fact that I have to pay every single photo that I take to have it processed, developed and get printed. There are times i take crappy pictures and its not even worth printing, shaky, blurry, etc.

Thats why when my hubby bought me a new Canon camera last year, I couldnt be happier! It is quite compact, which I really like so I can put it in my purse for easy handling and carry-all-over functionality. And its NOT really the professional camera worth $1000+, its just a powershot thingy, but I am extremely satisfied with the output of the device. The camera takes great picture, and I have great flexibility as what resolution I want each photo set.
